Fromebase is Frome’s new community DIY shop
We help save you money on great quality items, often up to 60 per cent less than you would pay elsewhere.
We do this by stocking new and unused surplus DIY materials sourced from the construction industry.
When you shop with us, you also support your local community. Every purchase helps fund community services such as DIY workshops and repair cafés.
Shopping with us also prevents good materials from needlessly going to waste. It’s a win win.
We are opening on Thursday 26 February in Frome, right by the Edventure Hub.

Our opening hours are:
- Mondays: 1pm to 5pm
- Thursdays: 9am to 5pm
- Tuesdays and Wednesdays: by appointment only, please call ahead.

Fromebase was first developed by a team of local people taking part in Edventure’s Incubation start-up course.
The idea is inspired by Rebuild Carlisle, a community-focused project that takes surplus materials from construction sites and puts them to good use.
