Fromebase is a new Community DIY shop, providing high quality surplus DIY items at uptown 60% off the RRP for local residents and customers.
Do you have surplus wood, paint, tools or other materials that are too good to waste?
If you would like to donate them to us we are always on the lookout for good quality items. Please call us or whats app us on 07943 008 029 to check suitability first and then we can arrange a drop off time that suits.
Repurposing excess materials and tools means we can offer cheaper prices, keep valuable resources out of landfill, whilst using profits to support classes, workshops and other community projects in Frome.
We can help you find a new home for all those leftover materials taking up space in your shed, garage or cupboard. Donating your surplus materials gives them a second life in someone else’s project, whilst eliminating that skip guilt!
As we are aiming to stock high-quality, useful items for home and garden projects, please only donate unused and surplus items that are clean, safe and fit for purpose.
For example:
Wood – full wooden planks, sheets or batons (no small scraps or nails attached)
Paint – any kind, at least half a tin, with a lid that is fully closed, under 2 years old.
Hand tools – for home or garden, good condition
Power tools – working with batteries or plugs under 5 years old
Fixings – nails, screws, bolts (in packs or multiples of 10+)
Hardware – handles, knobs, brackets (sets of 2 or more)
Tiles – sets of 20+ in good condition
We cannot accept aggregate or plasterboard at this time and also have the right to decline some items due to suitability and /or safety.
